As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for handling customer inquiries in cooperation with your colleagues using native Rototip tools. This role reports to the Sales Manager who is a part of the Revenue team. Your colleagues in this team have a diverse educational and professional background ranging from a political scientist to an astronomer, from a sociologist to an engineer. Qualifications
Must-have:
Proficiency in English is a must for this role. Candidates are required to read and write at a near-native level. Candidates who can listen and speak fluently are at a near-native level are expected to show proficiency during the interviews.
Eagerness to learn about modern manufacturing technologies and develop in these areas
Ability to interpret 2D technical drawings and 3D CAD files.
Comfortable working with data-heavy spreadsheets and BoMs.
A genuine desire to solve engineering problems for clients.
Strong affinity for AI products offered by the likes of Claude and Gemini, and strong interest in creating commercial solutions to complex engineering problems using AI agents
High energy and a "can-do" spirit in a high-pressure startup environment.
Comfortable working with a diverse team of varied academic backgrounds.
Precision in reviewing tolerances, materials, finishing, treatment, and inspection specs.
Nice-to-have:
Bachelor or master’s degree in industrial, mechanical, manufacturing engineering
Experience in a B2B sales environment or customer-facing technical role.
Familiarity with CNC machining, injection molding, or sheet metal fabrication.
Knowledge of international logistics or global supply chain fundamentals.
Experience living or working abroad in a multicultural environment.
Job Description
Analyze complex 3D models to identify manufacturing constraints and opportunities.
Deconstruct intricate technical drawings to extract material and tolerance data.
Break down multi-line-item Bills of Materials (BoMs) for multi-process projects.
Utilize proprietary Rototip Technology to generate precise, competitive quotations.
Uphold our industry-leading quick turnaround time for all inquiries.
Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DfM) analysis to ensure part feasibility.
Provide technical consultation to sales teams to help close complex global deals.
Draft detailed manufacturability notes to bridge the gap between clients and factories.
Collaborate with the Revenue team to optimize pricing strategies for different regions.
Manage a high volume of simultaneous inquiries across 20+ different countries.
Act as a technical bridge between design engineers and production specialists.
Identify cost-saving opportunities for customers through alternative manufacturing methods.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our internal quoting software and tools.
Maintain clear and organized communication logs within our native CRM.
Attend cross-functional team meetings to share feedback from your experience.
